Apprentice CAD Designer

We are recruiting for an Apprentice CAD Designer.

The opportunity

The successful candidate will be trained to understand all aspects of Computer Aided Design for carton packaging within a work environment at a reputable company. For the right person there is the opportunity to secure full time employment and progress within the company.

The successful applicant will be involved in:

• Following design requests from the sales team and their customers to produce technical drawings using computer aided software

• Cutting, creasing and gluing multiple sample requests

• Identifying and locating board from the warehouse

• Liaising and communicating with the sales team

• Purchasing samples for the team to size and design the packaging

• Assisting in expanding the department to offer samples on substrates other than folding box board

• Working as part of a small team of senior CAD designers and within a larger sales and marketing team.

National Apprentice Wage

Working week

Monday – Friday (times tbc)

Total hours per week: 40

1 day a week at East Surrey College from September 2021
