Quality Assurance Manager Co-Packing

We are recruiting a Quality Assurance Manager for

Alexir Co-Packing.

Job Description

You will be responsible for ensuring all quality and technical systems are compliant with current legislation, BRC, Organic, RSPO, and Customer Standards.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Oversee all day-to-day production activities onsite, ensuring allergen control management is maintained.
  • Raise and amend all internal briefing documents as required.
  • Conduct monthly hygiene audits and complete CAPA as required.
  • Investigate complaints and respond where required.
  • Monitor RSPO requirements on deliveries and dispatches.
  • Authorisation of positive release for finished goods.
  • Raise and gain customer approval of delivery unit labels and pallet labels.
  • Ensure the internal audit schedule is completed in line with BRC requirements.
  • Complete the monthly and quarterly management meetings against the current agenda in line with BRC requirements.
  • Conduct traceability checks against each HACCP plan and customer requirements.
  • Oversee staff personal hygiene requirements.
  • Document covid meetings as required by company policy.
  • Oversee all pest control requirements and communicate corrective actions to appropriate manager.
  • Conduct monthly checks that the RSPO certificates are in line with RSPO requirements and company policy.
  • Raise COA’s for customer orders.
  • File and complete all new and annual reviews of temporary staff induction documentation.
  • Complete the swabbing schedule and maintain the MS labs portal.
  • Sign off microbiological results and investigate out of specification results.
  • Carry out allergen validation testing in line with company policy and customer requirements.

The important information:

This is a managerial role, therefore, previous experience as a QA manager is essential.

Having a wide breadth and depth of knowledge and proven application of food regulations is preferred.

This is a full-time, office based position located in Uckfield, East Sussex. However, you will be required to visit customers and plants within the UK and EU possible.
