Alexir Partnership enjoys record growth

Aug 15, 2012

Alexir Partnership, the leading direct food contact contract packers and carton manufacturer, has collectively enjoyed end-of-year sales of over £23 million, their highest ever.

Bucking the economic trend, Alexir has seen excellent growth from both existing and new business since this time last year, and has plans for further expansion over the next 12 months, including the recruitment of up to 25 new staff across both the carton and co-packing sites.  It’s anticipated that capacity will increase by 25%, considerably reducing production lead-time.

To support the expansion and strengthen Alexir’s position in the marketplace, Graham Westcott (formerly of Bensons and with Alexir since April 2011), has been promoted to Northern Sales Director, while Damion Berry (formerly Chesapeake Account Manager), has been newly appointed as Sales Manager North.

Tom Sene, UK Sales Director said, “To say we had a tough start in 2011 is an understatement after the packaging plant burnt down, however these results are a true reflection of how hard all of our staff have worked and, along with tremendous customer support, it shows the real added value of the unique services we have here at Alexir.  We are both confident and excited with our plans for 2013.”

Alexir moved to their present premises in Edenbridge following the loss of their Crawley production facility to fire in December 2010.  Fully operational in record time just 10 weeks after the fire, the new Edenbridge plant is now one of the most technically advanced and modern carton plants in Europe.
