Alexir are proudly sponsoring the Two Nash brothers in their pursuit of medal glory at the 2024 Olympics.
The two brothers from East Grinstead are on an Advanced Apprenticeship in Sporting Excellence programme – a government-funded initiative that has been designed to help young people aged 16 to 18 combine education and sport. Starting six years ago as beginners they are now studying A levels in conjunction with their much-loved sport.
In June both brothers went with Tonbridge Judo Club to Denmark to a European Training Camp for three days where they had the opportunity to learn new techniques from different coaches. Since then Olly has moved up a weight to under 73kg and he represented Team South at a National Team Event in Walsall where he won every fight and the team won Gold overall for their age group.
In July both boys won medals at the Western Area Open with Olly winning a silver medal and Tom a bronze. They also attended the Judo National Centre for Excellence in Walsall to train as part of the England Talent Development Program with other nation’s most talented athletes from Wales, Scotland and Ireland.
They are now looking forward to their next trip to Holland in October where there will be two competitions in two days and eight different European countries will be competing.
We wish them good luck!!
