Activities for Kids – Calling all aspiring cardboard engineers!

Fun packaging activities for children to educate and inspire them at home.

Make at home - download the packaging toolkit below

We have created packaging toolkits to keep both you and your children entertained at home whilst the schools are closed. Simple packaging templates will be uploaded daily onto this blog post to encourage the new, younger generation to get out their safety scissors and crayons, make their own cartons and learn about packaging along the way!

Did you know?

The Packaging industry is a major part of the UK’s infrastructure and is in the top ten of the manufacturing industries. It has an annual turnover of £12 billion and employs 85,000 people. There are many roles in a packaging company but within the Design department there is a fundamental need for cardboard engineers and graphic designers. We are a local business with two sites in Kent and Sussex and we are always looking for young people to join us in our food packaging industry. Many children will go on to take Design and Technology at secondary school and will hopefully continue this through to university.

"This wonderful initiative from Alexir Partnership helped us to engage those of the Design Museum's audience with young families in a creative project that I'm sure brought a lot of joy to what was otherwise a rather unusual Easter Sunday.”
