Our recent investment in the latest digital carton printing technology enables us to supply high quality short runs of printed cartons for customised packaging.

Litho Printed Packaging.

We are passionate about carton packaging and produce around 350 million cartons a year on our lithographic printing presses, the majority of which is for the FMCG market. Over the years we have developed many innovative packaging solutions for our customers and have been first to market with carton-based packs in industries dominated by plastic. We have one of the most technically advanced factories in the UK, spanning over 40,000 square feet, which facilitates the pioneering work which we continue to deliver. We have recently installed a highly-specified Rapida 106 from KBA with 8 printing units and 2 coaters. The press is set up in a special configuration to achieve the widest range of effects and finishes to be produced on a printing press.

Digitally Printed Packaging.

Alexir Packaging is the first major carton packaging manufacturer in the UK to install an in-line digital solution for folding cartons, with the first digital press in Europe to print carton board up to 610 microns. This digital technology enables print on-demand with low origination costs and no minimum order quantities, thus reducing wastage and storage costs. This enables frequent seasonal promotional activity, multiple print designs as well as the ability to produce high quality prototypes for test marketing purposes.
