Brief

Grace Foods approached the Alexir Partnership as they required a company with a wide variety of capabilities all positioned under ‘one roof’– carton design, carton manufacture, corrugate procurement and dried food packing. All these services fell within the partnership across four divisions of the business.

The Process

Grace Foods required two kits to be created – the Wrap kit and the Meal kit – under the brand name Irie Eats.

The cartons were designed by Alexir Creative and manufactured by Alexir Packaging on a 510 micron recycled board and printed six colours. Meanwhile, Alexir International designed and sourced the corrugated trays to fit 6 packs on a 200g B flute board and printed 3 colours.

To complete the project, all the sachets and pouches were delivered to Alexir Co-Packers. The packing teams’ hand-assembled and filled each carton with the relevant three components, sealed the pack and placed six of these into an outer tray to be shrink-wrapped and delivered onto the customer.

Results

The entire project was managed by Cyril Guillemart, Business Development Manager at Alexir. No doubt, having one point of contact simplifies the process for the customer as Cyril dealt with design, manufacture, and packing. The project was delivered in full and on time, despite issues with raw materials arriving late.
