Alexir maintains BRC grade AA Accreditation

For two consecutive years Alexir Packaging, the carton-converting division of the Alexir Partnership, has maintained their AA grade BRC (British Retail Consortium) accreditation.

Reassurances of quality, safety and legality.

Additionally, Alexir Co-Packers, the contract packing division of the Alexir Partnership, has also retained their AA grade BRC since 2016.  The BRC Global Standard for Packaging and Packaging Materials certification is viewed as a benchmark of quality, safety and legality and has been recognised and adopted by retailers, manufacturers and packaging businesses worldwide. Maintaining these standards exhibit that both divisions continue to demonstrate that they are compliant with the latest BRC issues regarding food safety, management systems, manufacturing and quality management practices.

Rigorous auditing.

This year, Alexir Packaging were audited against a more rigorous standard as changes have been made to the BRC issues geared towards product defence. Product defence guidelines ensure the safety of raw materials and products from malicious contamination or theft. Alexir Packaging effectively put measures in place to ensure product defence and therefore, successfully maintained their AA grade.

Ashleigh Pyatt, QA Manager at Alexir Packaging says:

“We are delighted to maintain the AA grade in the BRC Accreditation for the second year. To maintain this accreditation requires commitment at all levels of the business from the Managing Director to the factory floor operators, showing that our team always strives for the very best in everything we do. Customers can be assured that we work hard to exceed the benchmark for quality, safety and legality. Well done to all the team involved.”

Alexir is fully operational.

The Alexir Partnership is committed to constantly meeting and exceeding benchmarks of quality, safety and legality. During these unprecedented times the Alexir Partnership is even more dedicated to following all guidelines, exceeding those recommended by the government relating to hygiene, social distancing and employee safety.
