Newsworthy Snippets from the Alexir Team – June 2021

The month of June has seen some exciting sporting events. We have also had some new projects which we have been talking about on our social media platforms. Here’s a quick summary in case you missed them.

Plant-based Nourish Bud chooses Halopack

“We chose Alexir Packaging primarily because of their innovatively sustainable approach, without compromising at all the functionality of heat sealed packaging. Sustainability is everything to us, and Alexir provided the perfect solution for us to preserve our meals and expand nationwide, all in packaging made from over 80% recycled materials. The Halopack really was the answer to all our problems” – Luke Tonks, Founder.

Nourish Bud took advantage of our lower MOQs on some of the halopack formats and we supplied the film too.

New packaging design for Whitby Foods wins GOLD

The Whitby Seafoods rebranding has won a prestigious gold medal in the 2021 DBA Design Effectiveness Awards. The new packaging was also recognised industry-wide when the brand won the 2020 Grocer NPD award in the meat, fish and poultry category for their sustainable packaging.

Whitby Seafoods chose London-based Brand Opus for the redesign and Alexir’s halopack as one of their pack formats. The new pack design and structure has reduced plastic by 85% and allows the majority of the pack to be recycled. Initial reactions to the design have been very positive with consumers recognising the clarity and messaging of the design.

“Absolutely love your cardboard recycling packaging – it’s really innovative and so easy. Thank you and I hope other manufacturers follow suit”- Consumer.

Sharing is Caring.
