A new premium gift product from Pukka
This was the type of creative challenge Alexir thrives on. From blank canvas to stunning circular display, Alexir turned up the creative dial to develop a whole new packaging format.
The challenge
When Pukka Herbs came to Alexir with a brand new gift product, all ideas were welcome. Their concept was a Workday Wellness gift pack for all of the daily work moments – whether it was an active herbal tea to kickstart the day or a calming blend to unwind at the end.
A special selection of 90 teas would need to be beautifully and practically displayed in a way that would enhance every moment of the working day. They asked for ‘out of the ordinary’. We got to work.
Requirements:
The solution
Having scoured luxury and premium markets for inspiration, we finetuned and presented a range of innovative concepts to the customer. A stunning circular rigid board format, which presented the teas like a clock with the teas displayed around a central point, was the stand-out solution.
Once approved, the buying teams began to develop the pack. White samples were produced and artwork-ready files were created for the graphic design teams.
Finally, all the components were produced and delivered into Alexir Co-packing where they were packed with the tea bags, wrapped in tissue paper, packed into shippers and then into outer cases. These were then palletised and transported to the customer as a final product.
The best part? Throughout the whole process, the customer only had to deal with one contact, despite multiple divisions being involved.
The Extra Mile
Due to the premium nature of Pukka, foiling was incorporated into the design and Gold Standard samples were signed off before final production. The buying teams also sourced and designed bespoke Pukka tissue paper, which the Alexir Co-packers used to wrap each gift box.
