What is Litho printing?

Lithographic (or offset) printing is a high-quality, cost-effective method ideal for large-volume carton packaging production. It involves transferring ink from a plate to a rubber blanket, then onto the printing surface, ensuring sharp, consistent images and vibrant colours. Litho is perfect for detailed designs, precise colour matching, and special finishes that elevate your brand.

Our litho capabilities

High-volume for high demand

We produce around 400 million cartons annually on our lithographic presses, primarily serving the FMCG market.

Fast and fabulous

Our Koenig & Bauer Rapida 106 press features seven printing units, two drying units, an additional printing unit, and a final coater unit, allowing for a wide range of effects and finishes. This setup enables us to achieve top speeds of 18,000 sheets per hour with FLM UVl inks and coatings.

Technical excellence

Alexir Packaging was the first print company in the UK to achieve the BPIF’s 12647 Technical Compliance Certificate, showcasing our commitment to colour management and print excellence.
